Back to Merrick
A while ago one of my dogs had a bout of IBS so the vet suggested I try another food with the same protein. I did so - I chose another high end food but recently found several unpleasant changes in both their wet and dry food. I am back with Merrick and all is well - it's a good quality food and have been using it for "many" years prior to this episode. All my pups love it and it's consistently the same - no changes!!!

Sold to Purina
Merrick is an excellent dog food with no known yeast additive which is hard to find. Unfortunately Merrick sold to Purina and with expectations of the formula to be manipulated i am changing to Acana that has high proteins and No YEAST added.

Chewy delivery
Not sure what is happening between your plant and shipping but my bag of dog food was split open and all the kibble was in the box. The order before that was dented cans and my wet catfood was busted .Also, a lot of my items that I have ordered for years are out of stock . Disappointing

Owner Error
My dogs, 2 Yorkies (11yo) and labradoodle (6yo), have enjoyed the grain free Merrick Chicken and sweet potatoes for the past 2 years. I thought I bought the same bag, but they are not fans of this ancient grains purchase.

Not the greatest. Dogs won’t eat it.
My dogs seemed to like the first serving but since the bag doesn’t reseal I think it becomes stale very quickly because they wouldn’t touch it behind the first serving. I buy the canned version and they love it but the dry … not so much. Waste of money. I have a bag of food that none of them will eat. Won’t buy again.

Cannot re-seal
The food itself seems good, though our dog doesn't run for it. Difficult to tell how it's affecting him (good or bad), but he's young and healthy. Only gripe is lack of ability to re-seal the bag after opening.

Gives my dog really bad gas
I bought this because it’s supposedly better quality but I forgot (I used to give him this food when he was younger) that he gets horrible smelling farts and burps from it. So not saying the food is bad, but it’s definitely not for him.

it’s a hard NO
My boys have been eating another brand of kibble for a year now but it’s constantly out of stock. So I migrated to this brand based on the reviews. I’ve tried to gradually add this dry kibble in along with same brand canned food to the regular food and they won’t eat either. I tried giving some to my neighbors dog and he wouldn’t eat it. Makes me think something is wrong with this bag.

It suits her digestion and she likes it
Every dog is different, but Bridget likes this food and it results in good consistency poops. No digestive issues with this food,

Pricey but worth it
After trying 3 other kinds of dry food, we landed on this one for my 1.5 yr old Aussie girl. The others either gave her diarrhea or she would just refuse to eat them. She really loves this food and almost never has an upset stomach. The food is expensive, but for us it is worth it if our girl is happy and healthy!
